Wasp & Yellow Jacket Control in Southern Colorado

  Wasps and yellow jackets build nests where they can find shelter, food and easy access to the outdoors. Around Southern Colorado, we commonly find activity near rooflines, eaves, decks, sheds, wall openings and other protected areas around homes and businesses.

Yellow jackets may also build nests in the ground or inside wall voids, making the nest difficult to see even when there is a lot of activity.

Seeing an occasional wasp isn't always a problem, but repeated activity in the same area can be a sign that a nest is nearby.

 Wasps and yellow jackets are common pests we deal with throughout Southern Colorado, especially during the warmer months when colonies become more active.

Nests can turn up under eaves, around decks and sheds, inside wall voids, and even underground. Yellow jackets can become particularly defensive when their nest is disturbed, especially later in the season when colonies are larger.

If you're seeing multiple wasps repeatedly flying in and out of the same spot, there may be a nest nearby—even if you can't see it.
