Ant Control in Southern Colorado

 Ants usually show up where they can find food, water and a protected place to nest. Once they find a reliable food or moisture source, they can establish trails that bring more ants into the area.

Around Southern Colorado, we commonly find ant activity near foundations, kitchens, bathrooms, landscaping, patios and cracks or gaps around buildings. Some colonies may be outside while workers travel indoors looking for food.

Different ants behave differently, which is why identifying the type of ant and where the activity is coming from matters. Simply spraying the ants you see may not solve the colony causing the problem.

 Ants are one of the most common pest problems around homes and businesses in Southern Colorado. Activity often increases during warmer weather, but ants can become an indoor problem whenever they find food, water and shelter.

Some ants build colonies outside and travel indoors, while others may establish nesting areas inside walls, beneath floors or in other protected spaces. Following the trail and identifying the ant helps us determine the best way to treat the problem.

If you're seeing ants repeatedly, especially in the same area, there may be a larger colony nearby that you can't see.
